1, Faune Dance Troupe – the ONLY Japanese Classic Ballet Company in New York

We, Faune Dance Troupe, are a dance company founded in January 2000 here in New York. Because we are the only Japanese company that pursues Classic Ballet, we have received tremendous attention and expectations. Specially since our last production, “Asian Festival” in 2003, we have supporters who could not wait for another year to see our performance. It is our honor to continue performing here in New York, the Mecca of Performing Arts. We strive for the highest quality in the Classic Ballet World and to stay competitive in this artistic city.

3, Honoring 3 legendary composers

Everyone recognizes these legendary masterpieces; Georges Bizet’s “ Carmen”, Maurice Ravel’s “Boléro” and Saint-Saëns’s “The Dying Swan” We show our reverence to them and hope that more and more people will come to realize how much these classic masterpieces are appreciated even today and tomorrow.

4, A Ballet Fan's Must See! The Anna Pavlova version of “The Dying Swan”

Faune Dance Troupe's Artistic Director/Principal Dancer, Miho Maeda, was Vladimir Dokoudovsky’s beloved apprentice. They worked on the Anna Pavlova version of “The Dying Swan”, in 99’. Today, Dokoudovsky no longer with us, no one other than Maeda can perform this legendary piece
