Sanuki Udon Tasting and Udon-making Demonstration
Hakubai restaurant at the Kitano Hotel is offering a special
Sanuki Udon menu from February 22nd to 26th. On 22nd and
23rd, there
will be a Udon-making demonstrations by the master udon maker.
The Sanuki Udon, which will be offered on the tasting menu,
is the top brand udon noodle, which was awarded the Agricultural
Minister Award in Japan.
Sanuki is the old-time name of the region now called Kagawa
prefecture, where since the ancient time they produced high-quality
flour, salt, soy sauce, and irko anchovy; all are the key
ingredients of
good
udon noodle soup.
