Samurai Sword Fighting (TATE) Class
Samurai Swoard Soul, a theater company, which tries to spread
the "BUSHI-DO," the Way of Samurai. They also offer
classes of "Tate" or "Chambara.
"Tate" is fighting choreography using performers'
bodies and weapons for stage performances, movies and TV drama.
There are Modern Tate for modern drama and Classic Tate for
samurai drama (Japanese samurai era drama), and we are teaching
Classic Tate for samurai fighting scenes using Bokkens (samurai
wooden swords) which is casually called "Chambara."
